Week 51-Malachite Pendant

I was playing around with this while trying to comeMalachite pendant2 up with some ideas for class projects.  It was inspired somewhat by the work of Huan Pham who uses a lot of loopy elements in his designs.  The bezel was made entirely with round nose pliers.  It still has some kinks to be worked out, in particular the bail which I’m not satisfied with.  Thanks for looking.    Malachite pendant

Holiday Stardust

I suppose this could fall under the fireworks theme.  I liked the stardust beads.  They sparkle like glitter but not garishly!  This is a Christmas gift for my aunt.  I want one for myself!  *shooo it's s secret-  I bought beads to make myself one!*

Magnolia Necklace – The Second Time Around

It's happened again. I list an item for sale in my shop and it sits there for a while leaving me to think maybe it's not as desirable as I had hoped. Then it finally sells and shortly thereafter I receive an email from someone saying that they had wanted to buy it and would I make another? Of course! I'd love to.

It happened with my Sangria Earrings, my Nouveau Blue necklace, and now with my Magnolia necklace. This necklace was originally created for the YOJ Gone With The Wind challenge. Like most of my items, my Magnolia necklace was intended to be one of a kind so I didn't write any detailed measurements or notes on my original sketches. (I'm learning to change that!) Luckily I left myself enough clues to recreate it. It may not look like it, but this necklace was quite challenging.

Here is my latest version:

Nouveau Blue – Déjà Vu

I
recently had a customer request that I remake my original Nouveau Blue Necklace.
Since the original was one of the first complex wire pieces I'd made, I
jumped at the chance. Here is my latest re-creation:

This Time it’s Personal

I created these intricate ruby, pearl, and citrine earrings to compliment this
beautiful bracelet that I purchased from Susanna Segerholm. Since the
bracelet is so unique, I wanted to create a pair of earrings or a
pendant to compliment it. I had an inkling about the technique she
used, but dreaded the trial and error process.. As fate would have it,
Sussanna created a fabulous tutorial that explained everything.

I'm
a great lover of Edwardian and Victorian era as well as Indian jewelry,
and Susanna's technique will help me create more jewelry designs
inspired by those influences.

Meadow Mist Bracelet

Meadowmist

I created
this bracelet using translucent chunks of faceted misty green prehnite.
Prehnite is such an amazing gemstone. It has a dreamy ethereal quality
and in the light almost appears to glow. I further accented with tiny
gems–smokey quartz, vivid aqua apatite, bottle-green vesuvianite,
blue-violet tanzanite, and mauve freshwater pearls. Finished with a
multi-gem dangle and handmade clasp. Adjusts from 7.75-8.5 inches, 19-22 cm. Enjoy! Sheridan (aka Joslin Jewels)

Eiswein Hoop Earrings

Icewine01

Eiswein (ice wine) is the rich and delicious dessert wine pressed from
grapes frozen on the vine. These sterling silver hoops were hand forged
and adorned with an intricate wire design of interwoven gemstones and
pearls the colors of frosted grapes, and tiny faceted sterling silver
beads for extra sparkle. Gemstones include dark amethyst, icy lavender
and blue pearls, pale blue topaz, and periwinkle chalcedony. Length: 1 1/8 inches

Infinity Earrings

InfinityEarrings

Hi everyone. Remember me? 🙂 Sorry I’ve been absent. I haven’t had much spare time recently. I’ve managed to create a couple little goodies though. I decided to make a pair of bridal earrings. They are adorned with a sweet bouquets of creamy white keishi pearls, gorgeous AAA faceted rose quartz and pink tourmaline gemstones.
The pearls and gems are suspended from handmade earwires and infinity links symbolizing forever love. C&Cs please.
