Melissa Muir – Week 34
This is a piece that I made a little while ago and just never got posted. It is a fire agate bead that I have bezel set. I love how this one turned out. It isn't all that big either. The pendant is probably about 1/2" Wide and perhaps 1 1/2 inches long, but perhaps a little longer.
Week 34 – Tokugawa Shogunate – Crown Jewel
From a workshop at Portland Beadfest 2009, I created Janice Berkebile's "Crown Jewel". I learned several new techniques and improved on some of the skills I thought I had.
I have some glass beads from Flameboyance Glass that would be perfect for this design. There are a lot of possibilities with this design using different size, shapes, and type of beads.

Wire Wrapped Neck Collar – Week 34
Twice a year we do a weekend of "mini Workshops", and are always looking for projects that are economical, can be completed in under an hour and still offer a challenge. This is my proposal for the fall series. I glued a hematite cab and two pieces of beach glass to a silver plated neck collar and wrapped one with 16 ga and the other with 18 ga copper wire. I suppose any cabs will work and may experiment with a few others.
YOJ09-34 Stocking up for Christmas – Dianne Karg Baron
The week 34 project isn’t a specific piece of jewellery, per se,
more like a bunch of things I made in preparation for Christmas sales
on my Etsy shop.
Not really much more to say than that. Oh, and if you’re interested in purchasing my jewellery, visit my Etsy store.
To see my other YOJ entries, please visit my blog, a wrapturous blog. Thanks for looking!
Week 34-Netted Pendant
I had some requests to teach a class on this pendant but I had to modify it because the original was soldered. I did a fancier version of it with garnets but decided that it couldn't be done in a three hour class. So I went back to the original and this is the sample that I made with mystic quartz beads-not a really good choice because they don't show up. I also had to make it again because I totally forgot how I did it. This measures just a tad over an inch in diameter.
Week 34 – Rhodonite Pendant – Randi/Dax58
This is a piece I really like… it has a similar feel to my
“BrushStrikes” series that I did last year, but includes a beautiful
set stone. I picked up this rhodonite a while ago, and wasn’t sure how
to use it – but when this design came to me, I knew the wait was worth
it!
Comments are always welcome… check out StudioDax for more about my teaching, My Jewelry Blog for more on my FSOJ projects, and My Etsy Shop for more of my jewelry. Thanks, Randi
Moonlit Birch Earrings
When the Fall Step by Step Wire hits the bookstore shelves, the necklace that goes with these earrings will be in there. Although only the instructions for the chain will be in the magazine, I made my very first ever tutorial for the pendant. As soon as I see that the cover has changed on www.stepbystepwire.com ,the tutorial will be in my Etsy shop http://www.sneekbead.etsy.com
Thank you,
Deborah aka Sneekbead
