Week 39
I’m into simplicity for a while. Red jasper set of earrings and pendant. As you can see it’s fast and easy.
Week 38
Another so so picture for this earrins and pendant set. Carribean blue quartz dyed, freshwater pearls with gf wire.
Melissa Muir – Week 39
In October I had the great pleasure of attending the East Coast Jewelry Retreat in North Carolina. It was so much fun. One night we had a gift exchange and this is the set that I made for my person. I am happy to say that she really liked the pieces and wore them a couple of times during the retreat. It is always so neat to see someone else wearing your art work. I love that!
Fly Me To The Moon
I have been wanting to try Eni’s tutorial for the nest ring. What better time than this? The moon theme made me think about the moonstones that I found in Hawaii last year. I added an extra row of cornerless beads to complete the ring. I don’t make many rings and found this to be fun!!!
Moon (luna)
This one is late. I started working on this before the due date, but just finished it a couple days ago. I call her Luna!
Wire, glass, glass pearls, and polyclay
MOMMAKAT: Goldfilled Bangle
fire opal agate ( also called crab opal agate) bangle made with gold filled wire. I used 20Ga for the base, and wrapped it with 20GA flat. The clasp is I think 18GA. Using the flat wire for the decorative wrapped worked extremely well, gives it more of an airy texture I think.http://mkpbeadart.blogspot.com/2008/10/week-38-and-39-bracelets.html#links
Jean Power- week 39- purple polymer clay necklace
This necklace was such fun and I adore the end result!
I made a skinner blend using pink and white polymer clays and turned that into canes using a purple. Slices of the cane were used to make beads and the whole thing strung to make a very large and very bold necklace- this is not a subtle piece!

To the Moon and Back-Smashing-Week 39
These earrings are simply smashing….smashing in the sense that the copper tubing was hammered flat over 14 ga wire. I then texturized the tubing and oxidized the earrings. These were fun and simple to make.

To the Moon and Back
Well, I guess the only thing about this set that’s on theme is the rainbow MOONstone here and there 😉
After reading your words under the previous entry I said to myself I have to keep on going despite the bad biorythm that’s obviously bothering me. I’ve spent 7 hours making this set. Those gorgeous lapis lazuli brios are 3cm long and I kept them for so long not knowing what to do with them. I’ve finally caged them into some royal/flowery frames in a way that makes them sit firmly – they don’t move inside and don’t dangle. Those teardrop-shaped earposts fitted nicely and then I saw some sterling teardrop beads I bought not long ago and it turned out they looked good in this design, too. I’ve also made the pendant’s bail out of one earpost 😉

Thank you!
