Melissa Muir – Week 36
This is a piece I made while trying to figure out some new styles for my work. It still looks like my work, but it was a lot of fun to try out the whole weaving thing a bit more.
Chrysoprase Necklace (Yay, not a rosary!)
No, not a rosary, but it is a rosary center with a new purpose! I used this beautiful, handcast sterling rosary center as the focal of this "Y" necklace featuring a yummy faceted chrysoprase briolette. Tiny faceted chrysoprase beads and sweet little sterling "flower" connectors round out the design.

Virgo Zodiac Sign-Close but not Quite-Week 26
This is a result from a soldering class that I took recently….this is the first bezel I’ve made and first time soldering with a torch. I really love this stone with the copper and silver.
The copper somewhat replicates the Virgo symbol.

Jean Power- week 36- Peacock Petals
More beading this week with some earrings whose colours are inspired by a greetings card I couldn’t resist buying purely for the colour combination!
You can see the earrings in progress along with the card here:

Virgo
I had smaller pieces of wire and decided to try the Egypt piece in miniature. They reminded me of mermaids or curvy bodies. Virgo is woman so they seemed to fit.
oops I missed a week
Hello in going over my blog I noticed that I missed a week. Well not because I haven’t done anything in jewelry, I just haven’t done much computer work, I also didn’t water mark these because they are for someone special. I just sent these items off to Pat for the cancer program http://pinkandblackzebra.blogspot.com/
My email to her reads,
"Dear Pat,
I sent a package out on 12 September conf. # 0307 1790 0003 2416 7437. via USPS Priority
I sent a few extras (see attachments ) fun jewelry that is done in the very hot colored aluminum wire.
I also made a very large Broach flower pendant in 99% pure silver coated copper wire the stones are pink zebra just like the necklace the center is black stone & pink CZ. The silver fan ring is also in the 99% silver coated wire, black stone and pink CZ it is also the first ring I have let go of in this style, I just wrote a tut for this ring and hope to sell it very soon on the Internet.
I hope this can help.
God bless you Linda
As always C&C welcomed
Sorry to be a page hog

Tribute To Kyle
Many times a piece tells a story. This is the story of Kyle. He was a machinist and at age 21 he left us as a result of an auto accident. The droplet contains a steel filing that is blue from the heat of the steel process. The filings were a byproduct of his work. After making the heart I annealed it. The copper heart was stamped with LOVE and pressed with window screen through my pasta machine. Then with my hands I formed the shape to represent a caress around the droplet. I sawed a rectangle of sterling and stamped KYLE. The heart and name tag were LOSed and then sanded. You cannot see the name tag as it is hanging on the back of the heart. He is much missed and much loved.
Week 36 – Coiled Bail Pendant – Randi/Dax58
I’ve been experimenting with different bail designs for simple one
stone pendants. I really like how this one works – a simple spiral on
the bottom, and a double coiled wrap on the top. The stone is a dyed
stablized turquoise (I know… who would have guessed!) which I think
looks pretty cool, and the wire is 20g and 26g. I’ve made a few of them
with different shaped stones and some slight variations – the style is
easily adaptable and not too ornate, so I think I’ll be making more of
these!
Comments are always welcome… check out StudioDax for more about my teaching, My Jewelry Blog for more on my FSOJ projects, and My Website for more of my jewelry. Thanks, Randi
MOMMAKAT: Opal Hearts
This necklace is a series of heart shaped sterling links and opal crystals, or opulence glass. I didn’t really get good pictures of this, in person it’s really delicate and graceful looking. It’s based on a design from Sharilyn Miller’s book… only she goes for a heavier wire look.. I like the elegant style of this, it’s light and airy. I used 20GA on the links. For more info and more pictures please see my blog thanks! http://mkpbeadart.blogspot.com/2008/09/week-36-opal-hearts.html#links
