Bio Lemon earrings 1
The beads are so sparkly and lovely! But I couldn't photograph them well.
Boat Hoop Earrings
These came out looking like boats but I like them all the same the beads are 2mm tourmaline I used 22g wire in the coils center and 26g to make the coils and weave the beads.. I wanted something like Eni's http://creativewirejewelryyoj.typepad.com/fsoj_2008/2008/04/week-17-simple.html but not even close. C&C always welcome. Thank you Linda Rosa my web site
Week 49-Keychain
This keychain has several different elements to it. I cut the shape of a key from copper sheet metal and used a screw and nut to rivet a couple of disks together. I stamped the word KEYS on both of those elements. I wrapped wire around a popsicle stick and then put some ribbons through it and used a nut to create a loop in the ribbon to attach to a jump ring. I found a pair of earrings at a second-hand store that look like paper and I added them to the keychain. I was able to work on my sawing and riveting skills with this piece. KittyD
Wk 49 Lemon quartz globes
I actually had these done and photographed on time, but I wasn't happy with the photos and thought I would get them redone promptly. That never happened, so here they are – bad photos and all. These lemon quartz rondelles are actually clear and sparkly, not dull like in these photos.

I made this ring from a Bobbi Wire Imagination tut, Fancy Prong Ring! Excellent, quick service and lovely packaging! I loved this piece. It was fun to make. I can't wait to get some more patterned wire and go to town with another one!
Week 49 – Silver Mandala – Randi/Dax58
This piece reminds me of a Mandala… it is made with heavy gauge wire
(16g), which I shaped into heart elements, then flattened, then
soldered together. I originally had 6 hearts, but I only needed 5 of them after I hammered! It is a larger pendant than my usual ones (about 2
1/2" diameter) and it is hung on a heavy snake chain… It is quite
substantial, but because it is open, it doesn't have a heavy look. I
like using repetitive elements, but I also like my work to have a raw
handmade look (without looking sloppy), and I think this pendant
achieves that balance.
Comments are always welcome… check out StudioDax for more about my teaching, My Jewelry Blog for more on my FSOJ projects, and My Website for more of my jewelry. Thanks, Randi
Melissa Muir – Week 49
I made these bracelets in my class a couple of weeks ago, but could not wear them because I didn't have a way to finish the ends. I am proud to say that I am now the owner of a "big" torch and not just my small butane torches. 🙂 YAY! With the new torch I was able to ball up the ends and make it comfortable to wear. I love these. I can wear just one, two or all three.
Bloodstone Classic Bracelet week 49
It is difficult to capture the little drops of red in the dark green of the bloodstone with the camara. In the sunlight they show brilliantly. This is the second project in our smithing class. The classic cut looks nice with so many of my clothes. What do you think?
December’s Sun Stone
December Brooch
Technically blue turquoise is one of December's stones…I opted to use African white turquoise for the brooch. I've had this turquoise for a while and purchased it at China Mountain. Along with the gray matrix you see in turquoise's cousin howlite…there is black and rich caramels.
Once the bezel is made I framed it with 16 gauge sterling silver round wire. I've added a piece of silver to the top that I melted down from scrap. The last bit of soldering was adding the pin to the back.
After adding the Aden inspired wrapped coil…I added a chocolate brown pearl, creamy freshwater pearls, smoky quartz, gold freshwater pearls, faceted onyx, burgundy coin pearls and sterling silver drop beads.
Thank you,
