Wk 49 - BandOfBraids
For this project, I annealed copper wire, braided it and then hammered it. Took a while to get enough length without breaking it…..

YOJ09Wk49-MarquiseSeriesPendant4-mini Marquise Series:  Pendant 4 (2009)
Sterling silver
Constructed, cold-joined
L 3.6 cm x W 1.6 cm

Here is one more variation in sterling silver.  The original idea
was to add a 2 mm Swarovski crystal, similar to what I did in the Week 47 project, but I ended up decided against it.

More pieces from this series can be seen on my blog, a wrapturous blog.  Comments are always welcome!  Thanks for looking!

Fly Me To The Moon

IMG_1988

I purchased some of Jacqueline's lampwork that has crescent shaped moons on them. The texture of the black & white agate represents the rough surface of the moon. That particular part of the necklace is done ala Eni. To complete the length I used Viking Knit made from copper wire…it picks up some of the color in the agate. =)

Thank you,

Deborah aka Sneekbead

Melissa Muir – Week 49

Anita-white
This is a custom piece I made for a student of mine. She saw a pendant I had made with an imitation opal and wanted one with a Ruby for her 40th anniversary. She really liked the heart shape and wanted my "Melissa swirls." There are three rubies in this piece, 2 – 4mm and 1 – 6mm. They are so pretty. I wish I could get the picture to do the piece justice.

I am so far behind on the YOJ I don't know that I will ever catch up, but I may have a few pieces to post coming up shortly. I just need to get them photographed.

This piece is about 1 7/8" x 1 7/8". Sterling silver. The back plate is 24 gauge. The outer frame wire is 14 gauge and the inner swirls are all 20 gauge. Every bit of this was hand fabricated.

Week 49-Poppy CZ Pendant

Poppy CZ pendant  This is the only thing new I that I managed to make this week.  At a recent show a lady really liked the red CZ pendant that I posted in a previous week but when she came back to buy it, it had already sold.  So this is a special order for her because she's in love with this color.  This particular CZ measuers 22mm X 30mm.   Thanks for looking.

Peacock Paisley

PeacockPaisley9

The first piece of jewelry I sold on Etsy was a Paisley necklace kind of like this one. I've been meaning to make another one ever since. My one year Etsyversary (i.e., the day I stocked my store) is approaching so I decided it was finally time. The first necklace, Exotic Paisley, was asymmetrical and featured two paisleys bejeweled with carnelian, peridot, and amethyst. This time I added a third paisley for a more symmetrical look and used neon apatite, vesuvianite, black spinel, and amethyst. The necklace centerpiece is about 2.5 inches across The necklace adjusts from 18-20 inches. As always, comments please!
