Marianne and a Cloud
This necklace was inspired by works of Marianne Anderson, especially her Ornamental Fragments Series and by our dear friend Perri 🙂
Light pendant and an asymmetrically placed clasp were entirely hand-made of sterling and fine silver, oxidised to black and polished. The pendant was woven using a macrame knot. A large pearl and a tiny garnet rondelle were set in the pendant. The chain consists of rice freshwater pearls and garnet and hematite faceted rondelles that hang on a strong steel cord.
The necklace is light and the contrasting forms and colours make it a perfect jewelry for a modern/ascetic outfit. More pictures in my gallery.
I'm still searching, experimenting and learning – trying to find a new way…
Thank you,
Iza
Week 42
I reall don’t like this pendant, but I’m desparate here! Citrine with amethyst dangles.
Melissa Muir – week 42
This is my very first tube set piece. It is TINY, but it sure turned out great! I made this during the jewelry retreat in North Carolina.
You can see the rest of the pieces I made on my Design Journal.
Running Water
In the summertime by the pool, it seems that the movement of the water attracts beautiful, irridescent dragonflies. My dragonfly isn’t irridescent but he is attracted by the drops of crystal just next to him. I am not sure of the green bead. I think it is serpentine but I didn’t write it’s title down. Sorry! This little pendant looks pretty on a simple neckwire. Always ready for comments!!!!
Running Water-Meaning-Week 42
Running water. Do we think of water from the faucet, water running in a stream. I’m sure in many cultures Running Water has a special meaning. I thought I’d look to the Native Americans for the meaning of Running Water……Constant Life.
My piece was not designed with Running Water in mind but had started out designing the pendant as earrings….I’ve got another frame made and will make another pendant from it. Once I started wrapping it and putting the bead on, it became apparent to me that it was going to be too heavy for an earring….thus the pendant was born. The pendant sits on copper tubing that has been texturized and wrapped. Enjoy!

Week 42 ~ TUTORIAL ~ Glass Lampwork And Gemstone Wire Wrapped Earrings
I finally finished my first tutorial. Many thanks to Lola and my good friend Diana for their encouragement and support! I am actually selling this tutorial along with a kit, including some of my handmade glass lampwork beads and all other materials required to make one pair of earrings. 🙂 I had fun making this tutorial and I hope that people will enjoy it. We shall see how it goes. 🙂

Week 42 – Hill Tribe and Crystal – Randi/Dax58
Yea… I know, this is a few days late!
I’ve had some large Hill Tribe Beads for years… I love to use them,
and only had a few left, so I decided to make a pair of wire wrap
earrings where they were the focus, using 2mm bicone crystals as the
border beards. The look has a "casual w/bling" feel… the only problem
I have is that you can’t see the crystals against dark hair, but they
look wonderful when hair is worn back/up. And maybe on blonds!
Comments are always welcome… check out StudioDax for more about my teaching, My Jewelry Blog for more on my FSOJ projects, and My Website for more of my jewelry. Thanks, Randi
Mermaid Tears by Eva Sherman – Week 42
I was working on these as a prototype for a wire class and the idea seemed to go along with the running water theme. The cabs are Lake Erie beach glass framed with coiled wire. Simple, but I like ’em,
