Snow Black
Snow Black is a necklace that somehow summarizes the whole year 2008 in my jewelry making – swirls and curls so often present in wire-wrapping and on the other hand new experiments I've already gone through like leaving silver oxidised to deep black and combining it with contrasting materials.
I hope the new year will be at least as successful as the old one 😉 I've sold this necklace today on 6:00 pm 30 minutes after it was listed in my gallery 🙂 Since we'll be building a house this year I hope my jewelry will still be attractive for customers and inspiring for other wire-wrapping artists (new tutorial is already on it's way ;)).

Gone With The Wind
Gone With The Wind…
Are my fears of Viking Knit. I tried…and tried…and tried… Then I was gifted a gorgeous bracelet by Nancy. I sat here just looking at the bracelet…rolling it in my fingers…feeling it. No it's not the beginning of a steamy romance novel…LoL! =D Then the light bulb turned on in my head. =D
The first piece I did was using 26 gauge fine silver…it took what seemed like forever to get a section long enough to do anything with. Once it was pulled through the draw plate I had a 20 inch necklace.
After a couple more lengths in that gauge I got a notion to try 22 gauge sterling silver. Do yourself a favor and stick to fine silver. It took a couple of days for my fingers to stop feeling numb. =)

I would like to say thank you to everybody that gave me comments thur out this year, I would especially like to thank Laura Holm for being such a great friend and always having the right words to keep me going, and to Lola D for helping inspire me to take the plunge and join YOJ. I think all the artist here ROCK!! I cant thank everybody enough for letting me be a part of history in the making.
As for my final piece, I was again inspired by another jewelry artist on jewelry lessons emon852000 He did The Royal Batik – Bracelet and later wrote a tutorial . The bracelet I did is in 18g wire for the base and 26g for the coils and weaving, I used lots of beads amethyst, perdiot,and citrine roundels, and in the center 4 yellow mystic topaz beads. This bracelet was a lot of work but when I put it on, I get so many complements form everybody that see it. C&C always welcome. Thank you so very much !!! I fell in love with some sea horses on jewelry lessons http://www.jewelrylessons.com/jewel/node/9002 by a very talented artist Pippi, Mine are not as good but I am sure that with time and practice's I can do better. I used 22g wire for the base 26g wire for the coiling and weaving of beads, 2 mm tourmaline, silver seed beads, and labradorite for the tail.
