Week 31 – Volcanic Embers

A pair of cufflinks done as a commission. A friend of mine wanted to give them to her brother as a Christmas present. They're done in sterling silver and onyx

Ruby Necklace

The stone is an opaque Ruby, color enhanced. The pendant is made with sterling silver, and the chain is a single knit Viking knit chain. The clasp and chain extensions are made with sterling silver wire. The necklace has been heavily antiqued.

week 30- Prong Settings

Week30  These two pendants started as an experiment in fold forming in the shape of a bracelet.  I cut it apart, did more folding and then practiced soldering components.  The left one will have jump rings to attach to a chain, the ringht has a rolled bail, so the necklace will run through the back.  I like the left one best, lots of fine silver beads!

Picture Jasper/Moukaite Rosary

Here’s another pretty bronze rosary.  These seem to be favorites, I think because of bronze’s vintage feel, and the fact that they are priced a bit lower!

6mm picture jasper, 8mm moukaite rondells (I picked out all the mustardy-colored ones :), 3mm non-descript yellow jasper for the connecting links, triple-wrapped links of bronze wire, and handcast bronze crucifix/center.

Melissa Muir – Week 31

Sea_breeze_400I made this pendant with one of Dona Cason’s glass cabs. I did this pendant as I was teaching a wire wrapped pendant class. I really like how this one turned out.

Behind again, and never on theme

100_1734 Just some simple wrapped earrings.  Wanted to make something with just silver for a change.

Volcanic Embers

Volcanic_embersI saw this cab at the bead store Friday.  I looked at it and thought it was perfect for a volcano piece.  If  you closely it looks like an erupting volcano with smoke clouds and lava flows!  I also decided to do an Eni tutorial I bought a while back.  So this ring is Eni inspired as well!

Week 31

Almost caught up. This is another art bracelet (which I love to make, but it takes all my time). This design has more gemstones than my first one and although it make music, it’s not as tinkly as the mostly metal.

I also included a close up. http://www.Ebbdesigns.com20080810_0930_edited1 20080810_0928_edited1

Jean Power- week 31- Geometric 2-8-6

A new necklace which I began after falling in love with the motifs in my previous one.

I’m a bit star beaded out now after making 4 of these in a row so time for something else- I seem to be dreaming stars at the moment!

Week 31 – So different for me! – Randi/Dax58

Seedbead1
Yeah… this is sooooo totally different than my "normal" style! I took
a bead crochet class with Stephanie Riger (a great instructor and
friend!), and I was very surprised to actually like it! My first try
(project done in class) was horrible – instead of getting decent beads,
I decided to get cheap ones to practice with, but the consistency of better beads makes a tremendous difference in the look. I picked up some
better beads the next day, and voila – I made this cool bangle! I added
some handmade bead caps (which give it a little "Randi" look) and a focal to finish it off… For those that want to know,
the beads are size 6, the silver caps were made from 24g silver (cut,
stamped, dapped), and the focal bead is a great conch shell bead from
Africa. My hope is to be able to crochet with size 8 beads… but I
think I’ll stick with these larger beads for a while!

Comments are always welcome… check out StudioDax for more about my teaching, My Jewelry Blog for more on my FSOJ projects, and My Website for more of my jewelry.  Thanks,  Randi
