Celtic Chain – Wk 51
I used copper wire to make 1/2" celtic knots and then linked them together with ceramic beads alternating between 4 mm goldstone.
Bling Ring
I decided to make something fun, and feature pearls my dear friend Sue gifted me. =) Using figure eight wire, I measured, sawed and soldered a ring. The next step was soldering a jumpring to a curved surface. Once I had the ring cleaned up, I started adding the beautiful pearls via headpins to the jumpring. =)

Week 51-Malachite Pendant
I was playing around with this while trying to come up with some ideas for class projects. It was inspired somewhat by the work of Huan Pham who uses a lot of loopy elements in his designs. The bezel was made entirely with round nose pliers. It still has some kinks to be worked out, in particular the bail which I’m not satisfied with. Thanks for looking.
Asian Architecture
Earrings inspired by asian architecture. Sterling, vintage art glass and some black gemstone. Surprisingly light weight earrings.
Rain Necklace
Living
in the Seattle area means that I am all too familiar with dark skies and rain so the inspiration for this one was pretty easy. I just needed to look out of my window.
I created swirls
from fine silver and wrapped them together to form what is meant to be cloud-like
centerpiece. I then bejeweled the centerpiece with labradorite, which is reminiscent of gray skies. I then finished the
theme with dangling sterling silver chains to represent falling rain. Even though the design
is fairly straight forward, I fiddled and fiddled with this piece to
get it to the point where I was happy with it. The centerpiece measures about 2 1/3 inches across. This necklace adjusts from 18-20 inches.
