Week 2-Stone Age-The Storm
This was something I did a while ago. A co-worker had this beautiful bead and wanted a pendant made with it. I kept the wirework very simple so as not to take away from the bead. It reminds me of a storm…..whether it's the eye of a hurricane, or waves crashing up on the beach.

Melissa Muir – Week 2
These hearts were developed for a class that I will be teaching this next month…. just in time for Valentines. 😉 They are a lot of fun. Even my 8 year old made one that looks pretty darn good. I don't have a picture of it yet though. These take a little while to make, but they are pretty fun.
Week 2 Still not on topic
Euro 4-1 on the bias bracelet made of silver enamelled copper. Very slinky and sexy!
Week 2: Stone Age
Not really on theme, but a huge stone this is! LOL! The pendant is a 167 carat opaque Sapphire, with sterling silver woven all around it. The chain is very long, sterling silver viking knit, and Sodalite beads. I'll be putting more pictures later on my blog at http://Takung.Blogspot.com.
wk 2_Delia Stone_working the obsession. :)
Many of you are familiar with my needlelace obsession. :) It continues with this post. I have discovered that I really like the look of needlelace on a teardrop shaped stone, and more than that I've discovered I love adding this little accent stitch to finish it off. I like the something extra that it seems to add to the overall piece. Here are two examples of a netted bezel being finished off with the accent stitch. The first is a lovely piece of wonderstone with a Tundra Sapphire accent, and the second is of course a lovely piece of labradorite w a Montanna blue Swarovski accent.
Something old … with a new twist. Not a big twist, mind you, but enough to make it a bit more unique. Thanks for looking. I'll be updating my blog as soon as I have the chance.
Week 2 – Link Bracelet – Randi/Dax58
I thought I posted week 2, but seems I "missed" last week… I'll post week 3 in a few days! This is just a
very simple wire link bracelet, made up with middle weight (18g) wire.
The stones are various jasper and carnelian, and I added some bali
silver components. I am teaching a 4-part wire working class for
beginners, where the goal is to create pieces where the silver is not
just a means of connecting the beads, but is also a key element of the
design. This is the bracelet project we'll be doing, using simple loops
and wrapped loops. I tend to use heavier gauges, so to me, this is a
little light, but it still feels substantial. I'm hoping the students
like it!
Comments are always welcome… check out StudioDax for more about my teaching, My Jewelry Blog for more on my FSOJ projects, and My Website for more of my jewelry. Thanks, Randi
Stown age
I have found that stowns in the Northern sea and was absolutely pleased with their sparkling faces… So I tried show all beauty of it. Small addition – fresh water pearl 🙂
week two – stone age
This is a liberal interpretation of stone age. I used matte agate nuggets with 3mm swarovski crystals in capri blue and peridot. The findings are sterling silver. thanks for looking.
Stone Age
I love this Dragonskin turquoise nugget. I thought minimal wrapping would be Stone Age appropriate.
