ShaktiPaj Opulence earrings

Opulence_earrings I’m going to play catch-up now that the year is over and I won’t be kicking anybody off the blog page. My hands have been acting up over the last quarter. I would partially finish and start new stuff, leaving the intensive sanding and finishing for later.

Anywho, These are the earrings that match my Opulence necklace. Swaros, 26, 28g silver. Perri

Jean Power- week 41- Frame inspired bracelet pt 1

I’m really behind in posting and am putting these up in the wrong order but am determined to get them up and finish the year!
This is a simple beaded bracelet I’ve made for Bead Magazine as part of the ‘inspired
by…’ series I do. This and next weeks bracelet were both inspired by
a photo frame I bought which was covered in multi-coloured dots and
circles.

Week 41 – Eni Oken

Gem178c_2 And… another rainbow wrap ring. Still trying to see if there is some method to the madness to try and make a tutorial, but until now, no success. This one made with silver and an abalone chip. To see more pictures, go to Journal: Silver rainbow wrap ring.

Week 41— Ancestral Cult

Wk41_culte_ancest_750
I crocheted an amulet pouch using 28 ga argentium, and associated it with 10 of the most sacred stones in North America.  Some are stuffed inside the pouch (blue lace agate, amber, amethyst, clear quartz, jasper), and others are simply decorating theWk41_culte_ancest3_750 pouch (coral, sleeping beauty turquoise, hematite, obsidian).  Now if you count correctly, there are only 9 stones!  This is correct because the tenth mineral is… silver!  It is
hanging from a knotted leather cord, with no clasp.

Seeds Sheila

Just two things to catch up. I am not a ring person, but here’s a feeble attempt,  Kinda like pods and seeds. My ancesters are Celts who are noted for their knotting design. My impression of a Celtic horse.

Seeds

Pearlcluster
Well you’d think for this one I would have used one of my seed bead creations but actually the bronze pearls under the SS cap remind me of a cluster of seeds so I went with this one instead.

more smokey quartz!

I do tend to use smokey quartz alot, but then again, it does sell well! I haven’t done anything for on theme for this week, but I did make several pairs of earrings, including these, mainly for commissions.

Elegant Thanks for looking!

Labradorite

I had a customer inquire about Labradorite pendants, so I made a few to add to my collection, here. These are all I made this week. I also bought a light tent and was using it to mess around and try to get photos for her to pick one. It worked out OK, I think! (Customer is buying the one on my hand)

Week 41 – Seeds – Ellen/rubystar

Copper_heart_teardrop_pendant_w_danCopper_heart_teardrop_pendant_w_d_2I made this copper pendant in my first sheet metal class!!!!  🙂  It was so much fun! I sawed this shape out of the sheet and then sawed the design into it and punched the holes in it. Then I filed it, textured it, stamped, dapped it, LOS’d it and tumbled it. Whew!

I chose this piece for this week, because the copper beads and Swars dangling from the raindrop remind me of seeds.

MOMMAKAT: God’s Eye

Godseye2pendant101307 here is my version of God’s eye. The Ojo de Dios or traditional Eye of God is a magical object and cultural symbol of the Huichol peoples. (Mexico) Originally made as an amulet for babies, the God’s eye was made over 5 years, started by the dad if possible. Then each year another band would be added until the child was 5.  The God’s Eye is made of copper 14ga which I hammered and texturized to make it look like a stick, and then I used sterling 24 ga for the weaving.  For more info and another example of a wire God’s Eye see my blog at http://mkpbeadart.blogspot.com/2007/10/yoj-week-41-42.html
