Week 39 – Back to Metal – Randi/Dax58
It feels good to do a little metal work again… I’ve been doing so much wire wrapping and bead crocheting that I was afraid I might forget how to use a hammer! These 3 pairs have been
cut to shape, textured (the copper ones are etched), and have tube rivets
added for contrast. Nothing too snazzy, but they are my style of
earrings! For reference, the metal is 18g… On the 1st pair, the beads
on top are african copper beads, and the copper pair have jasper beads.

Birds Of Paradise ~ Week 39
Well, what started out as one idea changed completely! Although not my original design concept I am very happy with this earring and necklace set. The glass lampwork beads are handmade by me in the flame. Rich swirls of golden yellow and deep rich amethyst purple layered over a base of mixed frit for added depth.
The necklace started with a circle of solid sterling silver hammered and coiled with fine gauge sterling silver wire. Once wrapped I added an outer layer of delicate lacy loops and an interior of faceted ametrine rondelles. In the center is my glass lampwork bead topped with a cluster of beautiful deep purple amethyst briolettes. Dropping down below is a huge smooth polished deep purple amethyst briolette for added “wow” factor. 🙂
The chain is a large and very chic solid sterling silver circle chain. Rich deep fancy cut citrine briolettes were added to each circle along the bottom and faceted ametrine rondelles to the top of the chain for a graduated range of color. Matching earrings consist of the same gemstones and matching glass lampwork beads. These colors remind me of the beautiful birds of paradise… still waiting for ours to bloom, just before Fall arrives. 🙂 Thanks~ Laura

Manamana Rings
Manamana Rings I did a lesson soon to be out to shows how to do a ring in 2 different styles. I love the phenomenon effects of the rainbow colors and the other ring with swirls and curls no beads needed, plus a bonus the measurements for a simple open bracelet to match . I don’t know about you but when I started out with wire it was in colors and now a days that money is short and prices are high it is sometimes fun to make something just for Fun with the supplies you already have at hand. And you might just be surprised at how popular this is. By the way if you are wondering about the name, I got it from my daughter and she showed me Manamana video, What fun. Crystal Bracelet
Lots of swarovski crystal, and the design is the same as the fan ring from week 37. C&C always welcome, Thank you Linda Rosa Blog Web Site
Week 22 (Will I ever catch up? LOL!)
I had made them sometime back, but never took the pictures. The silver has tarnished. Maybe I should LOS it. The big pearl danglings are south sea shell pearls, the teeny ones are fresh water pearls.
Week 21: Faaaaaaaaaar behind and off topic
I recently made this for an order. Its a tiny pendant, made with oval Amethyst cabochon and sterling silver wire.
My first try at oxidizing
I’ve decided I’ll never be on time or caught up. *sigh* I did finally try oxidizing. Boy was that hard to put a pretty shiny piece in that smelly stuff and watch it change color right before my eyes. I guess I’m just old-fashioned I still love shiny silver. I will have to admit though that it does really highlight a piece.
Week 38 – More Seed Bead Bangles – Randi/Dax58
A few more seed beed bracelets… these are using size 8s, so they have
a finer, sleeker look than my earlier ones. The green/blue bangle has
Bali silver endcaps with faceted sepentine beads, and the royal bangle
has Bali silver endcaps, Greek ceramic beads, and a black glass center
bead.

Fireflies a.k.a. Lightning Bugs-Week 38
My piece this week is a bangle with copper tubing with SS wire wrapped around it, twisted wire coils, links made from 16 ga wire, and a couple of spiral charms. The links make this bangle very easy to size and I have started using links more and more. This was a gift for someone and I enjoyed putting the bangle together with all it’s different components.
About those Lightning Bugs…..what fun I had when I was growing up taking a jar, punching holes in the lid and going out in the yard to catch all those glowing bugs. It was amazing to see how bright your jar would become with all lightning bugs together.
France Culture-My Heart-Week 37
The song says, I left my heart in San Francisco, but I think I left mine in Paris. My husband and I had such a beautiful time while we were there and have such wonderful memories.
This large heart has a huge hole….just perfect for copper tubing which I texturized. This was a fun piece to make and it’s fun to wear.
