Week 32 – Melissa Muir
Last October I had the opportunity to attend a jewelry retreat with some amazing people. At the retreat we each shared some of the things we know. One of the things I learned was how to do a tube setting. Since that time I have on done one other tube setting and I have wanted to try to do more.
I have these beautiful little Iolite round cut gems that measure 4mm. Today I finally sat down, pulled everything out and gave it another try. I am pretty happy with the result and can't wait to try even more.
Week 32: Ruby hoop earrings
These hoops are made with 14Kt gold-filled wire, and I have wrapped
fresh water pearls and genuine Ruby briolettes using sterling silver
wire.
I hear that hoops are the "in things" in earrings these
days. Unfortunately, unless the hoops are really teeny tiny, they don't
look good on me. But I am sure there will be someone else who will look
really good in these luscious Ruby hoop earrings :-)). I do love making
hoop earrings. They look so lovely….something really delicious about
hoops that are laden with yummy gemstones.

Week 32 Carousel 1
Well I have a few week to catch up with. This one is inspired by Perri and base on the
Periwinkle Bead Cap Tutorial
to me it came out looking like a carousel. I need to practice a lot more. C&C always welcomed Thank you Linda Rosa My Web Site and My ArtFire Store
Wee 32-Eduard Manet-Weaving Copper
I think I'm getting better at it….weaving with wire, that is! The frame was made with 16 gauge copper and the weaving with 24 gauge copper.

Week 32?
I've lost track. I've let myself get so behind and I don't even look at the themes anymore. LOL This one borrows an idea from our own Deborah Gray-Wurz. I learned how to make these beaded beads from Mary Dugas from our local bead guild. It's the only thing I know how to bead and, for someone who resisted learning for as long as I did, I had great fun making them. So I combined this one with a section of leftover Viking Knit and some large silver beads to make this bangle.
Turquoise Copper Bangle – Week 32
This project was one of those "happy accidents". It started out as part of a pendant and decided it would rather be a bangle. I added the turquoise bead to give it a focal and called it a day. Looks great with my fave denim shirt!
Week 32 – Lampwork Bracelet – Randi/Dax58
Aren't these lampwork beads gorgeous! One of my favorite glass artists
(Grace Ma) came out with a new line, including these bumpy ethereal
beads, and I couldn't resist them! I combined them with a collection of
bright ceramic spacers from Mykonos, glass spacer beads, and a variety of detailed Bali silver,
using 3 long links to make the most of the colors.
Comments are always welcome… check out StudioDax for more about my teaching, My Jewelry Blog for more on my FSOJ projects, and My Etsy Shop for more of my jewelry. Thanks, Randi
Fall Hues Viking Knit
One necklace combines Viking Knit using copper wire, 25 caliber bullet brass, copper accents, turquoise and smoky quartz. The other necklace has etched jade in place of the smoky quartz. Sterling silver 16 gauge wire was used for the frame of both pieces, and the Connie Fox style clasps.
Thank you,
Deborah aka Sneekbead
